Biography: Frank Newbould was born in 1887 in Bradford, England, the son of a chemist. He died in 1951. Newbould studied art at the Bradford College of Art. While no posters designed by him during the First World War are known, he did create an RAF recruiting poster in 1919. Between the wars, he's known for the many posters he designed for the British railways, including London Transport, Orient Line, and LNER. During the Second World War, he joined the War Office where he produced 11 posters, including "Your Britain, Fight for it Now."
