Biography: Michael Kungl is a southern California artist who has had a successful career as a illustrator and designer, including creating logo and package designs. More recently, he has gained recognition for his retro posters designed in a vintage style, which he terms as "21st Century Art Deco."

Featured in his work are art-deco espresso machines and drinks, Clipper seaplanes, steam locomotives, propeller planes, cafes, bars, clubs, and architecture from the 1920s through 1940s.
