Vintage Canadian Pacific Posters are a great way to decorate your living space in an Italian, international, or fashion theme. The original Mele clothing store was opened by the brothers Emmidio and Alfredo Mele in 1875 in Naples, Italy. In 1889, it expanded into a block-wide department store. From 1895 until the start of WWI, the Ricordi printing company designed a series of poster designs for Mele by artists such as Marcello Dudovich, Leopoldo Metlicovitz, and Leonetto Cappiello. Because posters were not as readily preserved in Italy as in France, original Mele posters are rare today.
