Vintage Chevrolet Posters are a great way to decorate your living space in a classic automobile theme. The Chevrolet Motor Car Company was founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant. Durant had founded General Motors, but had been ousted from its management in 1910. Chevrolet was a well-known racecar driver, who had previously raced for Fiat and Buick. While with Buick, he'd designed and built an overhead valve six-cylinder engine. In 1916, Chevrolet sold his share of the company to Durant, after which profits from the company allowed Durant to rebuy a controlling interest in General Motors, with then Chevrolet folded in as a GM division. The term "low-priced three" came later to identify the Ford Model T/A, Chevrolet, and Plymouth brands of Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler, known as "The Big Three" U.S. auto manufactures. Major Chevrolet models include the Model D (1918), Suburban (1935), Corvette sports car (1953), Bel Air (1950), Nomad (1955), Impala (1958), El Camino "utility coupe" (1959), rear-engine Corvair (1960), Chevy II/Nova (1962), Chevelle (1964), Malibu (1964), Caprice (1965), Camaro (1966), Blazer (1969), etc. Satisfaction is guaranteed.* Orders are 100% secure.* Click any thumbnail to view a larger version or make a purchase.
