Vintage Moulin Rouge Posters are a great way to decorate your living space in an entertainment or Parisian theme. The Moulin Rouge was built in 1889 by Joseph Oller in the Pigalle district of Paris. Apart from its trademark windmill, it is perhaps best known for the Can-Can dance, which was originally plied as a come-on by street courtesans who operated out of the place, before being taken over by regular dancers. Henri Toulouse-Lautrec was a regular habitue of the Moulin Rouge, and created paintings and posters featuring scenes from it. Other well-known artists who designed posters for the Moulin Rouge include Jules Cheret and Jules-Alexandre Grun. Several movies have had Moulin Rouge as their title, starring Olga Tschechowa (1928), Constance Bennett (1934),
Annie France (1940), Jose Ferrer (1952), and Nicole Kidman (2001). Satisfaction is guaranteed.* Orders are 100% secure.* Click any thumbnail to view a larger version or make a purchase.
