Vintage Chemin de Fer du Nord (North Railway) Posters are a great way to decorate your living space in a railway, travel, or French theme. The Nord Railway was founded in 1845 by the Rothschilds of England and France and became one of six major French railways, each with geographic monopolies. It runs from Paris north to Boulogne, Calais, Lille, Cayeux, Compiegne, Touquet, and other destinations in northern France, and connects to England, Belgium, and the Netherlands. The C.F. du Nord was absorbed into the national state railway, the SNCF (Societe Nationale des Chemins de fer Francais) in 1938. A.M. Cassandre designed several posters for the company, including for its Nord Express service. Other designers of C.F. du Nord posters include Roger
Broders and Henri Gray. Satisfaction is guaranteed.* Orders are 100% secure.* Click any thumbnail to view a larger version or make a purchase.
